Please describe the problem.

I suppose that in a direct mode repo, one might as well just «chmod -R +w .git/annex; rm -r .git/annex», but I noticed that, when using «git annex uninit», this will fail to remove some files in .git/annex.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

# If you can, paste a complete transcript of the problem occurring here.
# If the problem is with the git-annex assistant, paste in .git/annex/daemon.log
$ mkdir /tmp/foo
$ cd /tmp/foo
$ git init
$ git annex init
$ echo quux > file
$ git annex add file
$ git annex sync
$ git annex uninit
unannex file ok
