<p>It looks like the documentation is wrong; <code>git annex sync</code> has never
supported <code>--all</code> or <code>--unused</code>. I've fixed the documentation. If you do
need this, please file a todo item so I can remember to try to implement
it. Should be doable, but not trivially so.</p>

<p>I will post the todo, and in the meantime I can script a <code>git annex copy --unused</code> followed by a <code>git annex sync --content</code> to capture the full history in the archive</p>
