Please describe the problem.

Files with special unicode characters(in this case japanese) for some reason have the characters added to the file key.

This is an issue because it causes errors when using glacier-cli when uploading copies to Glacier vault.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Here's how it looks for me:

Have you had any luck using git-annex before?

Dude, I love git-annex. I use it to have multiple copies of my HUGE music collection. I love that I can just have partial copies of my whole collection on my laptop/phone/remote servers/usb drive backup and have that all documented properly. This is some amazing software my man!
