The manual warns against pushing into encrypted remote because:
it is impossible to git clone from an encrypted special remote, since it needs encryption keys stored in the remote.
However am I correct that if store "uuid" "cipher" and all relevant info from the remote log, I can recover a git repository by:
git init- create a git-annex branch with one entry in the remote.log
git-annex initgit annex enableremote --with-url myremote- and then pull?
I tried it locally and it works but I was wondering if I'm missing something that would make it dangerous to rely on this process.
