Please describe the problem in your own words.
I am in a worktree checkout within .git-meta/worktrees/ subtree, and then when running git status git annex crashes due to building up the path having .git-meta/.git-meta/worktrees/:
❯ pwd
/home/yoh/proj/CON/talks/.git-meta/worktrees/enh-old-talks
❯ git status
Refresh index: 100% (826/826), done.
git-annex: /home/yoh/proj/CON/talks/.git-meta/.git-meta/worktrees/enh-old-talks/sourcedata/con-site-specific: changeWorkingDirectory: does not exist (No such file or directory)

FWIW the repo itself is https://datasets.datalad.org/centerforopenneuroscience/talks/.git .
What version of git-annex are you using? On what operating system?
❯ git annex version | head -n 1

operating within worktrees would soon be more popular within repronim circles as babs got that functionality, so we better make it right
done as a duplicate and already addressed
I think this is the problem as the (already fixed) info fails to resolve from submodule in worktree.
